MINI Countryman EVAP rebate: $49,990 Elementary Edition
MINI built a new Countryman trim just to win the MINI Countryman EVAP rebate. The 2027 Countryman SE ALL4 Elementary Edition starts at $49,990 in Canada. That keeps the final vehicle price under the $50,000 EVAP cap.
A regular electric Countryman SE ALL4 starts at $59,990. Options can push it past $65,000 before freight and tax. At that point, federal and most provincial rebates disappear.
Why the MINI Countryman EVAP rebate matters
EVAP pays buyers of eligible battery EVs. In 2026 the federal amount is up to $5,000. In 2027 it drops to $4,000. The key rule is simple. The final transaction value must stay at $50,000 or less, unless the vehicle is made in Canada.
MINI Canada put the Elementary Edition on Transport Canada’s eligibility list. Charging gear does not count toward the $50,000 cap. So MINI prices the car at $49,990 and sells the charging cable and adapters separately for $500.
Even after the 2027 $4,000 rebate, this trim can still cost $15,000 to $20,000 less than a loaded Countryman.
What you still get
The Elementary Edition keeps the important hardware:

- 348 km rated range
- ALL4 all-wheel drive
- panoramic glass roof
- heated seats and heated steering wheel
- 19-inch wheels and a contrasting black roof
- adaptive LED headlights that turn with the wheel
- automatic parking assist
- collision prevention, blind-spot monitor, lane-departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert
Colours are limited to British Racing Green, Midnight Black, Nanuq White, and Melting Silver. Upholstery is recycled faux leather.
What MINI took out
Seats heat, but you adjust them by hand. There is no wireless charging pad and no hands-free door unlock. Harman Kardon audio, a head-up display, and sport seats are not available.
Bottom line
The MINI Countryman EVAP rebate trim is a price-cap special, not a stripped city car. You lose a few comfort extras. You keep AWD, range, and the glass roof. If you want a compact electric crossover under $50,000, this is one of the more complete options.
