Ford Fathom Electric Pickup Truck Price Canada 2028
Ford has revealed the name and starting price of its new midsize electric pickup. The truck will be called the Ford Fathom Electric Pickup. It will arrive in Canada in late 2027 as a 2028 model.

The base model starts at $38,690 after the federal EV rebate. This price falls under the $50,000 limit for the Electric Vehicle Affordability Program. Without the incentive, the truck still aims to stay under $40,000 before tax.
Ford will build the Fathom on its new Universal Electric Vehicle platform. The company will also use a new manufacturing method called the assembly-tree process. This approach should help keep costs lower.
Every Fathom will come with BlueCruise hands-free driving. It will also support bi-directional power, which lets the truck send electricity back to a home or tools. Other features include a large touchscreen, Apple Maps, and a digital key. The cabin will offer more passenger space than a Toyota RAV4. A front trunk (frunk) will also be available.
Ford chose the name “Fathom” after testing many options with focus groups. The company says the name reflects deeper innovation in electric trucks.
Canadian buyers can place pre-orders early next year. First deliveries will begin in late 2027. Full details on range, battery sizes, and higher trims will come later.
The Ford Fathom Electric Pickup looks set to become one of the most affordable electric trucks in Canada when it arrives.
