Atom Electric Car to Introduce Its Own Software for Charging Management

As part of the Russian electric car project Atom, a comprehensive solution is being created to manage the charging process. Private owners of slow charging stations will be able to make money from them. In fact, the machine will receive its own digital ecosystem, according to a widespread press release.

The eMSP (eMobility Service Provider) cloud platform will be launched in 2025. The owner of the car will interact with it in the usual way – through a mobile application, as well as through the standard Atom media system. It allows you to control the charging session through feedback from the telematics of the electric vehicle.

You can search for a charging station by address or brand, sort them by various parameters: connector type, power and tariff. The status of the station will be visible on the map (free, busy, not working). In addition, the application will allow you to book charging ports, configure session parameters, start charging and receive notifications about its status, pay for charging sessions and view the history of past charging.

The developers promise to create the simplest and most convenient conditions for interacting with the charging station. After connecting the connector, authorization, start of the charging session and payment occur automatically thanks to digital certificates. The function was called Plug&Charge.

Often, private owners of electric vehicles install slow charging stations for themselves. By connecting them to the eMSP cloud platform , they will have the opportunity to earn money from them. You will need to set a tariff and configure shared access. After which the station will begin to bring in money.

It was previously reported that Atom will receive Type 2 and GB/T charging connectors. However, now only the Chinese GB/T standard is mentioned, and the release calls it “the most modern standard.”
