The 2028 Jaguar Type 01 Canada price is expected to land near $180,000. U.S. estimates sit around US$125,000 to US$130,000. Jaguar has not posted a final Canadian sticker yet. Deliveries are expected in mid-2027.
This is not an EVAP car. The $50,000 federal cap does not cover it, and the Type 01 is not a Canadian-built exception.
What the 2028 Jaguar Type 01 costs you
At about $180,000, the Type 01 sits with six-figure electric sedans, not with rebate crossovers. A Lucid Air in a similar power band is the closer rival. Taxes, freight, and options will push a Canadian deal higher than the headline number.
Power, range, and charging
Three motors make about 1,015 horsepower. Zero to 100 km/h takes about 3.2 seconds. Rear motors use a 7.72:1 gear. The front motor uses 8.76:1.
The usable battery is 118 kWh, from a 120 kWh gross pack. Jaguar quotes about 640 km with the air conditioning on, or roughly 400 miles on the EPA cycle. Steady highway driving will land lower. Jaguar has also pointed to about 320 miles at a steady 75 mph.
A 350 kW DC stop can take the pack from 10 to 80 percent in about 22 minutes. The car can use 400-volt and 800-volt chargers. AC ports sit on both sides for slower top-ups. Regen is very strong, and big brakes sit behind aero wheel covers.
Jaguar says energy use can hold near 18.4 kWh/100 km from 100 km/h to 170 km/h. That is a lab-style claim. A Canadian winter will use more.
How the 2028 Jaguar Type 01 looks
The shape stays close to the concept. The nose is short. The tail is long. Two rear doors make it a four-door, not a coupe. Wheels are 23 inches. The roof tapers. Headlamps use about 20,000 LEDs.
The battery sits around the cabin, not only under the floor. Closable front vanes help aero. A twin-valve, twin-chamber suspension is meant to keep the low car composed.
Inside, a central spine splits the cabin. A 7-inch display handles some controls. OLED screens and hidden speakers sit in leather or Kvadrat trim, with brass-coloured accents.
Is the Canada price worth it?
The 2028 Jaguar Type 01 Canada price buys power, range, and a fast DC stop. It does not buy a proven winter car yet. A short European drive does not show February ride or real range on a salted highway.
If you want a rebate, look at a Leaf, Bolt, or bZ. If you want Jaguar’s new flagship, wait for the mid-2027 sticker before you place a deposit.
