What to watch
The federal amount drops to $4,000 in 2027. The date that counts is when the dealer submits the eligibility assessment, not the day you place the order. Ask for the claim date in writing.
Quebec’s extra $2,000 ends December 31, 2026, and uses the registration date. A late delivery can cost both cheques.
Chinese-built cars under the import quota generally do not get EVAP. Stick to the list above if the rebate is the goal.
