2027 BMW iX4 Canada Price Starts at $79,900
The 2027 BMW iX4 Canada price starts at $79,900 for the iX4 50 xDrive. Showrooms should see it in March 2027. It is BMW’s electric SUV coupe on the Neue Klasse platform, and it sits beside the more upright iX3.
The iX3 50 xDrive starts at $75,900. BMW says that model is NRCan-rated at up to 698 km and goes on sale in Canada this fall. The iX4’s 680 km figure is still an estimate. Natural Resources Canada has not certified it yet.
Neither car qualifies for the federal EVAP rebate. Both sit well above the $50,000 cap, and neither is Canadian-built.
Power and range
The iX4 50 xDrive uses two motors, all-wheel drive, and 463 horsepower with 476 lb-ft. Zero to 100 km/h takes about 4.9 seconds. Top speed is 210 km/h. The usable battery is 112.2 kWh, with cylindrical cells in a cell-to-pack layout.
An M60 xDrive follows later in 2027. It makes 603 horsepower and 645 lb-ft. It is a performance trim, not a full M car. Adaptive M suspension, 21-inch wheels, and an electronic rear differential are part of the package.
The iX3 M60 uses the same 603 hp output. It reaches 100 km/h in about 3.9 seconds. BMW quotes up to 754 km on WLTP, or about 646 km on EPA math, for that M60.
Both SUVs share the footprint: 4,782 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, and a 2,897 mm wheelbase. The iX4 is lower, at 1,607 mm tall, with a 0.23 drag coefficient. The iX3 is 1,646 mm tall.
Charging
The 800-volt system can take up to 400 kW DC. BMW says the iX4 can add up to 296 km in 10 minutes, or go from 10 to 80 percent in about 21 minutes, on a strong enough charger. AC charging tops out at 15.4 kW. Bidirectional charging needs optional adapters.
A multifunction charger covers 120-volt and 240-volt outlets. The optional Wallbox Plus uses a NACS connector. Route planning, battery preconditioning, and Plug & Charge are built in.
What you get
The launch iX4 includes an M Sport pack, stronger brakes, and 20-inch wheels. A panoramic glass roof and a 17.9-inch screen with Operating System X are standard. A 3D head-up display and Highway Assistant are optional. Audio is a seven-speaker system, or a 13-speaker Harman Kardon.
The “Heart of Joy” computer ties propulsion and chassis controls. Suspension is a double-joint front and a five-link rear.
Which one to wait for
Buy the iX3 50 xDrive if you want the confirmed 698 km rating and a fall arrival. Wait for the 2027 BMW iX4 Canada if you want the coupe roof and can live with a March 2027 delivery. The M60 models are the fast picks, not the value picks.
