Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback Canada Price: $48,998

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback Canada price starts at $48,998 before freight and fees. A Technology Package raises the sticker to $54,098. The car arrives at dealers in November 2026. It is Mitsubishi’s return to battery-electric vehicles in Canada.

The base model sits under the $50,000 EVAP cap. In 2026 that can mean a $5,000 federal rebate if the final transaction value stays at or under $50,000. Fees and extras can still blow the cap. Quebec buyers who register in 2026 can also stack up to $2,000 from Roulez vert.

Range and charging

The Eclipse Sportback uses a 75 kWh battery. Mitsubishi rates it at up to 454 km. It shares that pack with the redesigned Nissan Leaf. The Leaf S+ starts at $45,198 and is rated at 488 km. That is $3,800 less and 34 km more on paper.

Level 1 and Level 2 charging use a J1772 port. DC fast charging uses a built-in NACS port, so Tesla Superchargers are in play. Dealers will also offer a CCS adapter.

Warranty is the real pitch

Mitsubishi backs the car with a five-year or 100,000 km new-vehicle warranty. Powertrain and battery coverage runs 10 years or 160,000 km. Roadside assistance is five years with no kilometre limit.

Nissan’s basic warranty is three years or 60,000 km. Leaf EV components get five years or 100,000 km. The Leaf battery is eight years or 160,000 km. The Eclipse Sportback wins on the long cover, not on the sticker.

Who should buy it

Buy the Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback Canada if the 10-year battery warranty matters more than the lowest price. Skip it if you only want the cheapest 75 kWh car. The Leaf S+ is the better deal on range and dollars. The Technology Package at $54,098 will almost certainly miss EVAP, so stick to the base trim if the rebate is the goal.

Confirm the live contract price before you sign. The claim date, not the order date, sets the 2026 versus 2027 federal amount.

Would you pay $3,800 more than a Leaf for the longer Mitsubishi warranty?
