Lamborghini has clarified the development plan for its lineup until the end of the decade. CarBuzz writes about this with reference to a statement by the head of the company, Stefan Winkelmann. In addition to the hybrid Urus and the successor to the Huracan, which are already known, Lamborghini will launch the Lanzador electric car into series, and after it will bring to the market an electric super crossover. Thus, by 2030, the brand’s lineup will be replenished with not one, as previously expected, but two electric cars at once.
No details about the new electric car have yet been announced, except that it should appear in 2029. Considering that its debut and the premiere of the production Lanzador are only a year apart, we can assume that they will share a platform. At the same time, the new electric car, which the company calls the Super-SUV, may be officially appointed as the flagship model.
As for Lanzador, as previously reported, they plan to invent a new body type for it in Santa Agata Bolognese. This electric car should be something between a coupe and a crossover, while it is expected to receive a full-fledged four-seater saloon.
Lamborghini’s next new product should be an updated Urus crossover, which will be equipped with an electrified powertrain: prototypes of the SUV are already being tested . In addition, the company has planned the premiere of a new supercar to replace the Huracan in 2024 – it will become a noticeably more affordable model than the current Revuelto.
